BRAC Summary: Close the Westover Armed Forces Reserve Center, Chicopee, Massachusetts, the MacArthur United States Army Reserve Center, Springfield, Massachusetts, the United States Army Reserve Area Maintenance Support Activity, Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and realign the Malony United States Army Reserve Center on Devens Reserve Forces Training Area by disestablishing the 94th Regional Readiness Command, and relocate all units from the closed facilities to a new Armed Forces Reserve Center on Westover Air Reserve Base. Establish an Army Reserve Maneuver Enhancement59 Brigade headquarters in the new Armed Forces Reserve Center on Westover Air Reserve Base.

Property Description: This facility provides a 134,340 square foot Armed Forces Reserve Center for 1000 military members from three Army Reserve substandard reserve centers and maintenance shops. The AFRC provides administrative, educational, assembly, library, learning center, vault, weapons simulator, and physical fitness areas. The 26,233 square foot regional Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) and Organizational Maintenance Shop provide work bays and maintenance administrative support. The facility also provides adequate unit and individual storage space and parking space for all military and privately-owned vehicles.
