BRAC Summary:
The Army intends to transform its active and reserve facilities in the state to gain a more efficient and effective organization to support Army requirements now and into the future by creating:

– Over 3,500 high-tech and professional jobs at Fort Meade

– A multi-functional reserve facility that will enhance unit readiness, increase training opportunities, and generate operational efficiencies at Fort Detrick

– Joint Centers of Excellence for Medical and Chemical Biological research at Fort Detrick

– Transform Aberdeen Proving Grounds into a full spectrum research, development, acquisition, test and evaluation center for C4ISR Systems
