BRAC Summary:
– Realign Fort Totten, NY, by disestablishing the HQ 77th Regional Readiness Command and establishing a Sustainment Brigade at Fort Dix, NJ.

– Close Carpenter USARC, Poughkeepsie, NY, close McDonald USARC, Jamaica, NY, close Fort Tilden USARC, Far Rockaway, NY, close Muller USARC, Bronx, NY, and relocate units to a new Armed Forces Reserve Center at Fort Totten, NY.

Property Description: Project Description: This project provided an additional 67,652-square feet of renovated space in the pre-existing facility (Building 200). This new space permitted the transfer of 18 units from the surplus Carpenter , McDonald , Fort Tilden, and Muller Reserve Centers into an up-to-date facility for administrative, military training, assembly, library, learning center, and physical fitness areas for the Army Reserve units. The project also added 7,420-square yards of parking space for all military and privately-owned vehicles.
