Computer-Based Training: Ergonomics Awareness Module

In the Fall 2001, the Occupational Ergonomics Concentration was initiated within the Masters of Public Health (MPH) Program at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). Its mission is to provide specialty training for officers in all service branches in the critical areas of injury prevention and occupational ergonomics, and focuses on training students to address the public health concerns raised by workplace injuries and associated costs. In addition to the core courses and requirements for the MPH degree, the specialty track offers coursework in Occupational Ergonomics, Human Factors Engineering, Safety Engineering, Work Analysis Methods and Injury Prevention.

Air Force Ergonomics Computer-Based Training (CBT)

The USAF Ergonomics Course development is complete. The Distance Learning USAF Ergonomics Course (CD-ROM) is available for enrollment through your Base Education and Training Office.

Army

Army Basic Applied Ergonomics Course

Course Length: 40 hours

Army Advanced Ergonomics Course

Course Length: 2 full days

Designed for installations that (1) already have a well-established ergonomics program and are looking to sharpen analysis skills, (2) need help jump-starting a new program, or (3) are looking for guidance on the next step in the injury reduction process.
