BRAC Summary: Close Fort Pickett, except minimum essential ranges, facilities, and training areas as a Reserve Component training enclave to permit the conduct of individual and annual training.

Property Description: Fort Pickett is located in Virginia, 37 miles southwest of Petersburg and near the town of Blackstone, VA. At the time of closure, the installation consisted of approximately 45,000 acres with approximately 3,000,000 square feet of facilities most of which are World War II wooden structures.
