BRAC Summary: The Portland Army Family Housing Site was constructed in 1958 to support the adjacent NIKE mis-sile battery. After the decommissioning of the NIKE battery in the early 1970s, the housing site was retained for use by active duty personnel. Fort Devens provided installation oversight through closure and property disposal. The housing site was closed in 1990.

Property Description: The housing site was located on 6.03 acres of land in Portland, Middlesex County, CT. It consisted of 15 “Capehart”-style single-family, three-bedroom housing units.
